Something that Inspired Me Today

Yesterday I posted a TikTok about a few things that resonated with me from my current PMP Certificate module and it led to a reconnection with an old friend. Her and I connected before the pandemic because of how the trajectory of our careers were going. We then lost touch. She had some life happen, I too had life happen and this post reconnect with us.
She told me something I needed to hear, she said "Erica you have such a way of making things relatable." And for some reason - still unknown to me as I type this - it resonated.
Perhaps it was because I just left a stint at a company where I felt silenced and unused. Where I felt taken for granted although I didn't feel "good enough" to be trusted. A lot of me was left at that place and I am in the process of rebuilding those pieces left behind, and those words she spoke catapulted me into being more intentional about getting back to myself. The hardworking, funny - but also no nonse - person who has a deep rooted passion for helping others and the community.
I left that previous job swearing up, down, left and right I was leaving the nonprofit world for good - KNOWING it's God's will and purpose for my life that I connect with a nonprofit to help improve our community and those who are usually ignored and left behind.
